Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress who is best recognized for her roles in films as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actor, producer and director who is employed in film and television. She started acting on stage before appearing in mainstream, independent, and television series. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. After that, she was able to make appearances on BET's acclaimed show The Book of Negroes. Her debut on stage in the role of Ariel as Ariel, The Tempest. On Broadway she was a part of the cast as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In the film industry she is most famous for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. She is also well-known for her character on ABC's crime show High Incident.
